Tracing the past with cameras
The students use digital cameras to explore the former border strip on Bernauer Strasse. With the help of historical photos of Bernauer Strasse, they address various subjects and look for traces of the past left behind by the Wall. Is it still apparent that the street was once divided by the Wall? What consequences of the Wall are still felt today? One of the project’s aims is to help the students develop their own perspective on the history of division and its consequences. The photographs will be evaluated together.
