Stasimuseum

House 1 of the former headquarters of the Ministry for State Security (Stasi) now houses a research and memorial center focused on the GDR’s political system.

The original offices of Erich Mielke, the GDR’s last Minister for State Security, are the centerpiece of the exhibition, which is rounded off by sections devoted to the Stasi’s operational work, various aspects of the political system, and resistance and dissent in the GDR.
