Chronicle of the Berlin Wall

The website Chronicle of the Berlin Wall presents a barrier-free chronicle of events with historical documents, interviews with contemporary witnesses and a detailed history of the Berlin Wall with multimedia content.

Heimat-Builder

With the digital tool "Heimat-Builder", we invite you to create an individual Heimat image from clipart, your own photos and texts and share it in our online gallery or under the hashtag #heimatbuilder. The "Heimat-Builder" is part of the online exhibition "Arriving. Life After Forced Migration”

Factual history: Berlin Wall

The "Sendung mit der Maus" goes on a search for traces along the former border in Berlin. Where was the border and what did the border fortifications dividing the city look like?

 

Digital Guide

The Digital Guide at the Berlin Wall Memorial allows visitors to explore the Bernauer Strasse site independently. There are four different tours to choose from, offering fascinating insights into the history of the Wall.

Over 140 event markers along the site provide information about important historical moments of the division, which can be accessed online.
