Foundation
The Berlin Wall Foundation has overseen the Parliament of Trees since 2021. It maintains the gardens on the grounds and the Wall segments in the Parliament of Trees. Financial support is provided by the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
In October 1976, Ben Wagin founded the Tree Patrons Association with the aim of promoting the urban quality of life in the city. The association advocates the preservation of plants to shape the urban living environment. It also promotes art and culture in Berlin. Numerous nature and cultural projects have been implemented so far, including in the immediate vicinity of Wagin's studio in Ladestraße at Anhalter Bahnhof, the "Anhalter Garten" at the German Museum of Technology.
