The Berlin Wall on Bernauer Straße

Stories, talks and hands-on activities

Sunday, 16 August 2026, 1:00 – 5:00 pm

The Berlin Wall Memorial invites you to join in the discussion and take part in the activities at the event pavilion on Bernauer Straße. Young and old alike can explore Bernauer Straße creatively through hands-on activities, go in search of clues whilst painting, doing crafts and solving puzzles, and take a small souvenir home with them.

Live speaking guides will answer all sorts of questions: Where can traces of the Wall still be seen today? Who lived here, and how did the division change Bernauer Straße? Where was ‘Tunnel 57’ located? Why was the Berlin Wall Memorial established here in particular?

This offer is part of the special program marking 65 years since the construction of the Berlin Wall.
Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the LOTTO Foundation Berlin
