The website Chronicle of the Berlin Wall presents a barrier-free chronicle of events with historical documents, interviews with contemporary witnesses and a detailed history of the Berlin Wall with multimedia content.

AR App "Cold War Berlin"

In October 1961, a few months after the Wall was built, U.S. and Soviet tanks engaged in a standoff at the GDR’s Friedrichstrasse border crossing and the Allied Checkpoint Charlie. The augmented reality app “Cold War Berlin” turns the history of the tank confrontation into a three-dimensional experience!

 

Heimat-Builder

With the digital tool "Heimat-Builder", we invite you to create an individual Heimat image from clipart, your own photos and texts and share it in our online gallery or under the hashtag #heimatbuilder. The "Heimat-Builder" is part of the online exhibition "Arriving. Life After Forced Migration”
